appliance garages important to keep kitchen clean and uncluttered. Nice framing
All of the kitchen's small appliances sit in the white built-in cabinet next to the fridge. The seamless cabinetry design decreases the utilitarian look of the space, making it feel like a natural extension of the main living room.
What specific type of color/paint/texture was used in this kitchen?
Interesting alternative to a ss hood
This reminded me of your kitchen from
resources. And if you choose ceramic tile, you can look for recycled-content tiles, like those from FireClay Tile, to boost your kitchen's green cred.More: Compare tile with other kitchen counter materials
for everyday oils, spices and other cooking necessities. It will help you take advantage of every square inch your kitchen offers.

Concrete floors with a clear sealant add to the kitchen's simple aesthetic. Horizontal windows up high near the 10-foot ceilings and low down bathe the room in natural light. Bar stools: Collectic Home

Beautiful kitchen. Were did you buy the pendant lights? Thanks.
I love this kitchen and the black cabinetry on the island! Do you know the height of the ceilings in this kitchen? Does bead board on the ceiling help to make them look higher?

White calacutta marble kitchen island with Vermont soapstone
Is this countertop 2 cm or 3 cm? Which is more desirable in a kitchen? Please share any thoughts.
What kind of counter is on the island? Is it marble? Is that too porous for the kitchen?
for the response... I might have to try it on my new kitchen! How often to oil?
It depends on the level of perfection you require. Soapstone is a softer stone and needs to be oiled but is a beautiful product and has been used in farm kitchens for years!

This spectacular kitchen reflects a great mix of wood and painted finishes. Appliances include a built-in coffeemaker and steam oven. Paneled Subzero 27" refrigerator/freezer units mimic the look of furniture. Accents of polished stainless on the cabinetry complete the sophisticated look.
The lights are available through St Clair Kitchen & Home.
The other side of the kitchen space we love. I love the mix of dark and light - but particularly love the counter. I love marble with green
