Old world elegance meets today's today's contemporary space requirements
Thank you so much for sharing this beautifully designed kitchen. I found a very similar 12 x 24 tile and I'm incorporating this herringbone floor style in my kitchen renovation. Ideas like this elevate what is possible on a modest budget. Also
hi snooks..........the tile was fairly inexpensive as tile goes. It is a 12 x 24 and ran under $15 sq ft. However that was three years ago and I was working with one of my vendors. I don't know if this tile is still available
tile is too big with relation to the space, it will not work. When choosing your floor tile, make sure that it comes in various sizes. Perhaps a 6" x 12" would work better? Keep your options open. Also know that a good flooring showroom, should do a sketch of the layout for you, and of course, if you

Another questions re: cutting tiles? The largest I can find is 12 x 24 and 18 x 18.
opening is 36" wide x 24" tall and it sits at the floor, I would do 12" x 24" tiles either side of the fireplace so the grout line at the top of the tiles lines up with the top of the opening. You almost treat the opening as a tile. The row just over the opening would probably have two 30"w x 22"h tiles so
so the vertical seam is centered over the fireplace. The next row up might have tiles 22" high and do the12", 36", and 12" again. Repeat the last two rows' widths at 20" high and that will bring you up to 9'. You just have to work it out on graph paper depending on what your opening is. You have the tiles
the fireplace opening and the width of the wall, and decreased the height of the stones from bottom to top. They ranged from 56"w x 23"h for the bottom two rows to 56"w x 19"h at the top. With either concrete or limestone be very careful of the type of mastic used to adhere them to the walls...both concrete

Kitchen Backsplash
Canada, in fact I use this photo to discuss with possible kitchen companies! I am getting quotes for over $4000 for an island countertop 200 sqft (3.5' x 6) .... Does that seem right??? Who made this counter and do they ship to Canada!!??
One square board foot is 1"x12x12. You might want to re-check your numbers. 3.5X6=21. If your countertop butcher block is 2" thick then you have only 42 sqft. I am building one for my customer (3x6) out of hickory and walnut for less than $1200. I made one out of
hadn't realised that you've used old floor joists for the countertop! We've just salvaged pine floorboards in our 200yo house that are a good 2" x 10" x 12' or so, and I'm thinking I could copy your idea: what did you do to clean your boards up? Scrub with soap and water? Sand-blast? Did you re-plane

Beautiful Ann Sacks iceberg tile! Is that 3X6 or 4X8?
We just purchased a 36" Viking Range oven and would like to mount a shelf above the range, between the upper cabinets....where can we purchase a 42 1/2' wide shelf in the stainless steel to be anchored by the upper cabinets as in this picture....so our granite back splash is seen?
The tile size on the back splash is 4" x 8".
What is the size of the tile--is it 6"x 12"? Thanks!
Thanks for your question. I believe its the 3x6 tile.
Thanks Signup12! We think so too!
Must be 4x8 tile, width of stove is 36 inches, it is bigger than 4 tiles wide and smaller than 5 tiles wide (32-40 inches)

Teich Garden Systems
South Salem NY Residential
That is a 16 x 16 fully enclosed garden system. It stands approx 7 1/2 feet tall. We used vinyl coated 2 in x 4 in fencing overlaid with 1/2 in x 1/2 in vinyl coated hardware cloth.
It is a 2 x 12 and it is not set in a concrete footing
The base of your exterior wall...is it a 2 x 10 ....and is
is the 2x10 set in a concrete footing in the ground?
Thanks. It's surprising how much produce you can get from a 7' x 8' bed like this.

Lincoln Park West Master Bed A
my bedroom is 23 long x 12 wide with a bay window. would metropolitan look good in my room and what colour is the bedding
pot light are you using here? Looks clean. Do you think those would work for a bulk head that is only 12" off the wall face?
Hi! I am re-creating this room in my 20x22 master bedroom. We have a question with the mirror. May I ask what materials are used to make the frames
repeated yourself several times so hopefully this isn't a repeat more of a qualification. It was mentioned early the panel sizes are 15x30 and the space was approxiamately 8X10. If that is a King size bed (give a little extra for frame) give a little more for space between the bed and endtables... that leaves
