I'm 5'2" I am considering a similar placement to my wall oven, (MAY ADD) steamer oven
I was intrigued with rbcola's mention of "east-2-west" cabinets, in a comment above. What are "east-2-west" cabinets? Are they easier to reach? I tried
I have cabinets that are the same color, C2 "New Leaf" and I love them.
LOL.....The name "east-2-west" cabinets is strictly my own way of creating a picture. I don't know

designed a 1 1/2" base of plywood and installed the flooring on top. The front edge is made from a floor piece turned on it's edge. It's about 2 1/4" thick
The wood top is supported by two layers of 3/4" thick (1 1/2" total) of plywood. The corner is just alternating layers of plywood glued and screwed together
random lengths (4" wide and between 3' and 8' long). We built a plywood base (2 layers of 3/4" plywood glued and screwed) and then installed the Douglas Fir
we've since used for heavier books. Ideally you would install a layer of 1/2" plywood behind the sheetrock wall finish, but we've also just used the "toggler"
edge. Supported by 2 pcs plywood glued together and set under.

Did you laminate a second 2cm slab to the inside of the waterfall sides?
How did you achieve the 2" look on both sides of the waterfall
but I would think that the slabs are 1/2" thick.....if you miter the edges and corners....it appears if the slab is 2" - 3" thick....the fooling of the eye

miter edge makes slab look 2-3 inch thick when only 1/2 inch.
