standard 8' walls. Can I do this wainscot and two tone look in such a small space to make the ceiling seam taller? I'm afraid the dark brown will make the room feel small. I know white is not the answer but really need to make this space feel better.

2. The strip of foggy blue at the top of this bathroom takes the standard gray and white palette to a new level. The beadboard and trim adds even more detail to the space, and Houzz users loved the use of the basic pedestal sink.

8. For this New York farmhouse, getting two beds in a 14- by 9-foot room while maximizing space was a challenge. A custom-designed unit with two twin beds separated by a shared headboard did the trick. See more photos of this home Paint: Spring Valley, Benjamin Moore

used 12"x24" tiles on the walls? What size are they on the floor? Reason I'm asking is that I'm looking to do the same thing in a small bathroom (@7'x5'). There's an alcove tub that will have tiles up the side. • For a room this small, would you suggest the same dimensions in floor and wall tiles that

house has 8' ceilings, but I am not sure. My house also has 8' foot ceilings and I wanted to paint the walls and the ceiling the same color. Would you recommend it? Are there any reasons against it? Thank you in advance!
10'6" x 10'4". Thank you.
you have 8' ceilings, you want to make sure your paint isn't too dark and that the room gets a lot of natural light. Otherwise it might feel too heavy. I would also recommend crown molding painted white (or another light color that complements the wall/ceiling color). This will serve as a nice break
