wood - 3/8" thick beaded board individual pieces hand fitted in the back of the cabinetry.
It is 3/8" thick real hardwood beaded board. Each piece is 3 1/2" wide and laps on itself. We make the beaded board in our shop on our German moulder. It has quite heavy groves. Let us know how we can assist with an upcoming project. We will go anywhere in the east.
authentic 3/8" thick maple hardwood beaded board. The profile of the beaded board is proprietary. Each piece was precisely profiled on our German moulder, creating individual 3 1/2" wide pieces which were then hand fitted, over lapping in the back of the cabinetry. about 3/8" deep, making the total depth there at the bottom of the header about 2 3/8" deep. Adding 38" for the height of the fireplace opening, 9" for granite, 12" for the mantel header and another 5" for the crown moulding and header, I'm guessing the whole kit-and-caboodle comes to about 64" off

roughly 38". We are concerned 38" is not wide enough for a pivot door.
38" is not really enough for a pivot door at the entry. For a typical hinged door, you need a 36" entry door (this is the actual door - the rough opening will be wider). For a pivot, you'd want an equivalent clear opening width plus the width of the backswing portion. I think a 48" wide door
