What material is under the wood? Is it acrylic, fiberglass, tile or marble?
The dimensions are 3.5 x 5 ft.
size is 3.5 x 5 teak wood to bring warmth and interesting use of material.
I like the creamy marble tiles and the teak wood features
A spa-like master shower with multiple showerheads, marble details and a warm teak floor is one of the home's most impressive features.Tile, countertop: Stone Source
5. Use crisp white. Nothing says "relaxing spa" like light and bright walls and ceilings.Tip: Rolled-up towels the way you see here is quintessential spa

it would not stay looking "new", but would patina like the marbles in Europe. They also have the option to have the counters re-honed on site in 5 years or so if they need it. You just have to know what you are getting into when you put marble in a kitchen.
I don't know how large of a slab you need, but we are using it in our kitchen and have a slab over 10'x5' for our island.

under the window and niche? What is the window size used in this space? This is a gorgeous bathroom. Is the marble carrara? The color tones are soft and pleasing. Although a great deal of marble is used in this space, the design is not busy and appears soothing. This truly is a lovely and well designed
What is the width of the marble backsplash under the window and niches
from Best Tile. The lower tiles in the brick pattern (often called running bond or subway pattern) is White Venatino Honed Marble. The top is: Pencil, and Chair rail with 12.5X12.5 Skyline Ming Green & Thassos Mosaic.
The marble does look carrera. This bathroom looks great. Very pristine looking.

Another questions re: cutting tiles? The largest I can find is 12 x 24 and 18 x 18.
looks lighter perhaps because of the light in the room and light upholestry? Have you seen Lagos Blue. I wonder if that would work? The fireplace is 5 feet across and 9 feet up. Would it work to do the same as you with decreasing the size or is it too small an area? If so what size would you start
The stone is Gasgogne Blue, a limestone. It was 3 cm thick and I had the slabs cut into very large "tiles". The lot of Gasgogne blue was not very blue...more on the sandy gray side. We got it at Marble & Granite Inc in Westwood MA.
They are Juno 3 3/4" low voltage incandescent recessed fixtures with adjustable trims so they could point in different directions, and can be purchased online, through your electrician or at your local lighting store.

We are building an 8x5' island and have purchased 15" Harmon lights. How far apart should we space the lights to fit and not seem too close together?
There are several comments about the island length. One says 6 ft, another 8.5 ft. Which is correct? Also are these definitely 15" Harmon pendants? Thank you.
this island is 8.5' so 3 pendant lights should look great. However, it really depends on the size of the pendant lights. If they are much smaller than the 15' lights shown here, you may want to use more and vise versa.
The kitchen dimensions are 17.5' x 12'
The island is 3.5 x 8.5
Hi! The island countertops is a Valley Gold Marble.

beautiful. Did you have to seam the marble on the edge to make the overhang longer
How did your installer create the overhang on your island and counters? Did they have to seam together another piece of marble to make the edge give the look of a thicker piece of marble? If they did seam how and what adhesive
The countertop is carrera marble. Thanks!
It looks like it's 9' x 4' to me.
