Could you please tell me the paint color of the house, (outside)
Hello, New first time homeowner here trying to put some life back into my 1880 Victorian. Although my house has less details, especially around the windows, it shares
the overhang. My question is, did you consider painting the inlays on them a secondary color other than black? I cant picture if this would make the house appear too busy (less formal?) Thank you for the great question! The trim on the doors and windows in this house were reclaimed Barnwood and were cut to resemble old trim you might've found in a farmhouse from the early 1800s. If I recall correctly the finished size is a 1 x 6, so the finish size is 5 1/2 inches wide

The wall with the "planks" is really a reclaimed log cabin. The original log cabin was built in the 1820's and moved to this site, near Jasper, in the north Georgia mountains. The logs are 14" tall and about 5" wide. Its a bearing, or solid exterior wall.
