I have an "L" shaped kitchen that is14' wide and 15' long. (this is not counting the eating area which is 10x12 on it's own). Sink, dishwasher and window are on the 14' wide side. the all fridge and all freezer and stove are along the 15' long side.
Our island will be approx 85X30. I have planned for 2 of the pelham pendants, but was considering 14" diameter. Do you think these would be too big, or should I go for two 11" like yours. Gorgeous kitchen by the way
want to put an island and debating about size, I like a big one similar to the one in the pic. Would a square one (6 x 6) suit this kitchen or would a rectangular one (6 x 8) or (5 x 7) suit it better. Like in the pic I would want two stools on one side and 2 stools at one end. thanks.

how high are the ceilings in the house. Are they 9 or 10. We have 10 ft ceilings and not certain we should go that high.
The overall size of the kitchen (not including the bar to the right) is 14'-8" (176") x 16'-6" (198"). The island is 4'-2" (50") x 9'-7" (115"). Hope this helps!
14'-9" is the width of the sink wall and the 16'-8" is the range wall to behind the refrigerator.

I am looking for a light granite for an island that will be 5-6 ft. x 9-10 ft. I would like to have a single slab with a lot of variation and a majority of white / light color. This appears to be just what I dream of! Thank
I'm going to have a large, very white kitchen. The cabinets are going to go to the ceiling with crown moulding. The room is large about 30x17. One end is the kitchen with an eat-in area in the middle and a sitting room/sunroom at the end. I have painted the walls a sage green and am wondering
The kitchen is 14'6" wide x 20' with the island measuring 78"x86". The perimeter counter is 30" deep to allow for appliances to be left out while not taking away from the work area of the countertop. Answer originally posted on July 29, 2013 at 2:33am 1 and again...January 9, 2014 at 5:28pm
