they took the C2's wood ash and had Benjamin Moore match it.
amberwpeters, I think they mean that they color matched the paint to get the same color as Benjamin Moore's Wood Ash. Look at a paint chip/card from a store and you'll see that each color has a number. BM's Wood Ash is "numbered" C2.
