Is this porcelain on wood? How does porcelain hold up outdoors (ex. rain, snow, ice, heat)?
is not porcelain, for me it could be coral stone or aged marble for exterior use. Because of the color of the wood i think is "Ipe" but you definitely could use more options like "teka" wood.

Direction of wood - see how it turns at corner
Like how the wood walkway frames the ground around the tree.
This concrete path wraps itself around the yard and trees like open arms. The angled layout of the home would provide various views from within, allowing this lucky homeowner to have a different perspective from each part of the house.

Lake Forest Park Renovation

Questions4
I have been a huge fan of houses like this--sustainably built, large windows, lots of wood and metal features, very open and functional. But outside of "PNW home" I never have any idea what to search for or how to research it...
design aesthetic and only wish I could afford to consult w/you on an upcoming kitchen + great room renovation on my 'rustic' (read: shabby) mid-c. modern home in Lake Forest Park, which, to offer a slight correction to your photo captions, is (thankfully) less than half the mileage that you state to downtown
Got it. Both have a number of home's on Chicago's North Shore, which includes a different Lake Forest.
Cool for a BluHome in wine country, my next house
again, I like the wood on the end panel and a wood door of western cedae
