somewhere a way to put a punch of color?
I can't figure out where without spoiling the style - it would become something else with color added and I don't want something else, except I think I would get tired of a room with no color. Thoughts?
Considering a purchase of a house with 4'5" wainscoting in Dining, Living rooms and a two level foyer in New England; ceilings are 9' and not a lot of wall space.

It is Caesar Stone's "lagos azul" in a matte finish.
It's a GFRC concrete folded down. We use it on our projects. We can fold it down up to 6". The true thickness is 3/4". Its designed to go over existing countertops without tear out. You can change the color later
This was a design decision that was made to create more of a counterpoint to the contemporary "overlay" cabinets with concealed hinges at the island and family room.

normally get a lot of wear with sandpaper so that a line of the first color can be seen. Once you achieve the amount of distress that you like, you can then use a glaze over the top of your piece....a chocolate glaze is always pretty. Glaze will help you move the paint around easily, but you can also use one
