Adding onto an existing house, the Owners wanted to push the house more modern. The new "boxes" were clad in compatible material, with accents of concrete block and mahogany. Corner windows open the views.
an addition, wanting to add some modern flair to a cape cod remodel. It still has somewhat of a traditional look but how could we use different materials/colors to get a more modern feel?
We get the mahogany at the local building supply company TW Perry. I am pretty sure Home Depot does NOT carry it, but most professional building supply stores should. Ask for Cambera Mahogany.

Thank you. We loved designing it. Those windows are Portrait Windows that were supplied by Stock Building Supply. I'm not sure they are making those anymore but they are nice quality wood and composite windows. They were custom made to our design

prestigious projects we have supplied is the Martin House in Buffalo NY. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1904 it was the largest residential complex of his career and one of the most expensive. Although the house had fallen in to disrepair and a number of the buildings demolished, the Darwin Martin
re-birth and return to its former glory. Northern became involved in 1994 and supplied tiles for the main house in 1996 and the Barton house a year later. Once the Pergola and Garage had been re-created we again supplied tiles, finishing out a 14 year involvement with the project. This is a true masterpiece

What is the price to build or value of home?
We have a budget to build of 300,000 dollars. Would that get us a home anywhere near this nice? I know sometimes it depends on locations. We live in the Northwest Arkansas area. Would you have any clue the cost to build?

work with a local professional on standard procedures, but we generally insulate on the OUTSIDE of the rigid insulation board which is outside the building moisture and air barrier (and vapor barrier depending on climate). Your local experts will give you the best recommendations, but the siding shown

the way the architects used the material so it is not overbearing, using it with generous glazing, and in this case, with additional corners in plan that also increase the size of the terrace. Also note how the corrugated metal is used alongside another industrial material: concrete masonry units, or CMUs
