I'm considering using the same granite for my BBQ countertops. I live in southern California... should i be concerned that the granite may get too hot?
concrete counter top, it has a polished smooth surface that looks like granite. This garden is in coastal Southern California, and it's fine here. You may choose lighter colors or use shade trees if your area gets very hot.

don't have any images of the built-ins, but I can try to snap one for you next time I am at that clients home. The project is finished though so it may take a while. I'd guess they are about 6-7 feet wide by 36 inches high. Directly across from the built-ins is doorway to her closet.

I will have a 48" range and I'm not sure I want the total "built-in" look. This hood may be perfect for me. I LOVE the whole kitchen, it's very sleek, elegant and the detail in the upper cabinets is very unique.
