how was the oak cabinetry cerused? with wax? what kind of wax?
Cerusing wood means it is hand waxed. I do not know what kind of wax the wood workers use.

everything was custom tinted, because cerused oak is not an off-the-shelf process. That said, I would suggest a stain with a bit of "body" rather than one that is too transparent. The mix was a brown-tan, with a very slight green tint. BTW: the wood is white oak (red oak did not render the color we were
I wish there was a formula. Hopefully this helps: the finish on the doors is a bit more complex than a stain color: the effect is cerused oak. First the oak is wire brushed, or sandblasted, to "open" the pores of the grain, sanded slightly, stained, sealed with a thinned-down clear sealer called a wash-coat
