the later part of the 17th century, a few new patterns emerged that were inspired by the Bargello flame stitch pattern. The carnation, medallion and diamond patterns evolved as new stitches were tried. These embroideries were found more in the U.S. and England than in Europe. During the 1970s the flame
however, the flame stitch and all its variations are back. These modern Jonathan Adler Bargello wave pillows look like they were inspired by the diamond pattern of the 17th century. The graphic rug mingles beautifully with the pillow pattern.

Love this, can you tell me what the plant name is for the lighter green diamond shaped hedging?
Fell free to mix and match when it comes to shapes. The diamonds on the right are offset by the semicircle on the left. Using the same plant material to form the shapes ties the two sides together.Design tip: Be sure to look at the space from all levels. It should be pleasant when you're in the midst
