great way to make statement in small nook.
I would like a similar arrangement in the kitchen's dining area, with a coffee table instead of a dining table. Along with the seating area I would like to place the buffet

My dream nook on my dream kitchen in my dream house
This is fantastic if space is plentiful. Wouldn't make this a dinner table but as a chill out breakfast nook it's perfect
Build in a benchA bay window or recess is an excellent place for a dining nook, and built-in benches will work far better than chairs – no scraping, clattering or getting wedged in! And when breakfast or the kids’ tea is over, the table can slide right back to keep the space clear.

Spring Lake-Corner Dining Nook
Originally the back porch/laundry room, we incorporated the space into the kitchen and turned it into a corner dining nook with the washer/dryer tucked neatly into the newly-created kitchen laundry closet. We added windows and a banquette for additional storage, as well as a round table along with chairs

"This space was originally a back porch/laundry room," says Rich. "We were able to turn it into a dining nook and tuck the washer-dryer into a new kitchen laundry closet." Four new windows let in the light. The client provided the iron base for the table, and Rich had a custom top made from the same granite

Could you tell me what the (rough) dimensions of this little breakfast nook are? Thanks!
I'm building a nook bench as well. I'm looking to find the best depth and height for it?
Hello lperry. Dimensions for the breakfast nook were kept intentionally small, given the diminutive backyard yard. Space is approximately 4.5' x 11'. Another foot of depth could make a big difference
limitations. We added the cut out in the right wall to further open up the space while bringing in more sunlight and views from the side window. The nook comfortably seats 3-4 people. I chose a round table for easy access to the window seat. Day-to-day, there is a larger round pedestal table in place

Elegant but compactThis beautiful floor-to-ceiling unit offers both shelving and seating. The light-filled space makes the area an inviting place for up to six guests to dine – quite impressive in such a small space.

I love this kitchen and I love the it is in the farmhouse style that I so totally love. I'm looking for a small table to put into a nook in our kitchen and I believe that this maybe the one.

Here is a small dining nook off the kitchen where built-in seating is tucked under the two windows. The light and the seating anchor the space and draw one to the corner. It's easy to see the table being a site not only for meals, but also reading the paper, doing homework and other activities.
Banquettes. It’s ideal to have everyone gathered around the table, sharing a meal, but this can be tricky if your kitchen doesn’t have room for a big dining table. Enter banquettes.
