master bath connects to a courtyard and have been thinking of putting in an outdoor shower, but not sure if I should have it drain back into indoor plumbing,into the french drains or just into plant beds.

Homes mentioned to hold the weight. I think the other alternative would be to just use a water proof membrane with proper pitching for the water to drain and then use the Synthetic (Trex type material) planks for the flooring. I would have preferred a proper floor like in a room, but that seems to be
matt product. Water will get thru the tile and settign bed. That moisture has to have some place to go. It is best if the sub floor is pitched do drain. The moisture wicking out will bring lime deposits with it. This can be unsightly after awhile. Careful detailing is needed here. I do not think a

How does rain drain away from, or get absorbed by, the wood decking?
This fire pit has a drain in the bottom which directs the rainwater into a crushed stone dry-well. You could have a cover made but this option requires less maintenance and

(they are larger than the avg top loaders. One important note; many of these units require the drain to located a certain distance min above the bottom of the washer. If you elevate your washer, your drain may not be high enough to work properly. All said though, I recommend elevating the units.
