Any design considerations for pergola given the fire pit below? thx!
Here comes the fireplace nerd with an addendum/clarification: The clearance requirements apply only to gas firepits, as shown above, not wood burning. Wood burning firepits must be used with a spark screen or spark arrestor and are not for use under combustible construction, according to NFPA.
I hope you don't mind but I have two questions about the pergola (I promiseI won't ask any more questions!). Are the pergola rafters wood or composite or metal? Did you allow greater spacing between the rafters to allow the heat to escape easily? Thank you!!!!
I really like this picture. What a great option to put fire pit under white pergola. Fire pit would have to be natural gas.

roof with no hood? and is that a wood burning or gas fire pit?
It seems you have no formal way of venting / exhausting your fire pit out from under the enclosed structure. We are currently working on a project where the hood design has gotten extremely controversial and expensive. How were you able to have a pit under this roof

This fire pit is gas and there are no concerns because, as Gasmaster suggested, there are no walls. Its also an open cathedral ceiling so there are no dangers
