Hidden Bar
The original home had a regular door from the den into this bar, but now it's a secret. The panel on the right side of the photo opens like a door, but when closed it's camouflaged as part of the den's wall.Hallberg tied this wallpaper back to the den by using the same Schumacher print on the sofa's
sofa's throw pillows. The leaded glass design on the upper cabinets is based on that of other glass doors original to the home.

House in Dublin 4
The impulse to add an old radio to a modern home is something Richard Watts, an officer at the California Historical Radio Society, well understands. Before he embarked on a career as a computer scientist, he put himself through school by repairing radios and televisions. After he retired, he was lured

Back Yard Patio
The scale and lines of the hardscape, pergola and wood fence complement the home’s siding and simplicity, with just a hint of playful modernism (also seen in the back door’s pop of pink). Though the yard is modern, it ties in well with the bungalow and perpetuates the neighborhood’s eclectic aesthetic

In open-plan homes, the entryway may not have any logical starting and stopping point for a flooring change. In this home a tile rectangle large enough for a handful of people to stand on defines the entry area. The tiles form a path leading to the hallway. Hardwood is used for the remaining areas.
