Can you tell me the type of lights you used under your bar top? Yours shine down nicely to highlight your
full kitchen needs a backsplash which is easily cleaned for the inevitable boilovers and grease splatters. I'd urge you to find a nice rustic glazed tile in a colortone that coordinates with your rockwork and other materials.
I really want lights under the top to shine down on the stools when not in use.

working on my very own modest place in the Carneros of Napa. Give us a call! Regarding the ceiling height, in this home the ceiling is 9 feet, soffited down to 8 feet in some areas. The tallest section in the middle is 14.5 feet tall.

what type of flooring is this? is it prefabricated or real wood with a finish? also what is on the stair case...carpet or tile?
there is only a 3/8" variance allowed between the tallest and shortest riser height. Believe it or not, your body gets into a cadence going up and down stairs and different riser heights can be felt and throw your stepping off thus causing a fall. If there is a varience it can be corrected but that

like a clean countertop and cooks often, so it's wiped down daily or frequently. You would obviously see more dust and debris on a darker countertop then you would on something much lighter. But if you can keep up with a simple occasional wipe down, you are good to go with a darker richer color granite

align with the space between the columns? What are the details of the column, you can't see it well in this photo but there is a neck mold about 8" down from the capital. We have probably 30 or less square ft of area that would be heated flooring if we decide. Would this be expensive to run?
