1. Carpet. Oh, come on. Why is everyone so down on carpet? It’s soft, it comes in lots of styles and colors, and it’s fairly affordable. Plus, it’s versatile and customizable. My kids have customized

Can you tell me the type of lights you used under your bar top? Yours shine down nicely to highlight your
full kitchen needs a backsplash which is easily cleaned for the inevitable boilovers and grease splatters. I'd urge you to find a nice rustic glazed tile in a colortone that coordinates with your rockwork and other materials.
I really want lights under the top to shine down on the stools when not in use.

working on my very own modest place in the Carneros of Napa. Give us a call! Regarding the ceiling height, in this home the ceiling is 9 feet, soffited down to 8 feet in some areas. The tallest section in the middle is 14.5 feet tall.

what type of flooring is this? is it prefabricated or real wood with a finish? also what is on the stair case...carpet or tile?
there is only a 3/8" variance allowed between the tallest and shortest riser height. Believe it or not, your body gets into a cadence going up and down stairs and different riser heights can be felt and throw your stepping off thus causing a fall. If there is a varience it can be corrected but that

why not as mentioned, doors... I would add ones that slide down sides of pantry so totally out of the way...
2. Winnow down your kitchen gear. During a remodel, your cooking and eating routine will be disrupted, and no matter how much you love to cook, ambitious meals will be a challenge. Keep things simple and pare down to the kitchen tools you really, truly can't live

align with the space between the columns? What are the details of the column, you can't see it well in this photo but there is a neck mold about 8" down from the capital. If you want me to take a look at your elevation I can do that for a relatively small fee. email me at brad@norrisarchitecture.com
will need good drainage and water proofing. use a membrane roof overlaid with a system by a company called Schluter. This will likely need to be a tile floor.

Cork floor in bathroom
We have 2 cats & it's the only bathroom in the house is it a good idea to use cork flooring in the bathroom? What's the maintenance like? Is Kitty litter...
Heated flooring in bathroom
We have probably 30 or less square ft of area that would be heated flooring if we decide. Would this be expensive to run?
