glass tile heat resistant? Is it safe to put above cooktop?
Glass is heat resistant. It's the adhesive that's used to install the tile that needs to be able to tolerate the heat. We don't want a tile falling off into the sauce pot!

absorb the heat from the large rear windows. I was sceptical before we started but absolutely loved the feel under foot when completed. We found that people visiting the house loved to take their shoes off to feel the tiles.
With other projects we actually installed under tile heating coils so you could heat
heat up the tiles if you liked.

If you are trying to mount to an actual masonry fireplace, the trick is usually related to getting all of the wiring done.
