Douglas Fir and its finished with a waterborne hybrid alkyd varnish by Target Coatings. It wasn't stained, but clear coated. The finish contains oil, so it
enough cfm, you could buy an hvlp gun for cheap and try and spray your own finishes, but I don't recommend it. It does take a little know-how and experience
refinish. Some things are best left to the pros in my opinion, and fine finishing is one of them.

not sure I understand your question. If you'e asking about the finish of the surround, it's Venetian plaster w/ a wax coating on it.
