Farmhouse Addition
The form of the addition is evocative of a traditional Pennsylvania bank barn structure. A second floor deck, carved out of the copper 'forebay’, is covered with a glass skylight that empties via chain downspouts to river rock drainage beds below. Builder: Karl Snyder Photographer: Jeffrey Totaro
Windows are manufacturer's standard dark brown aluminum cladding (Pella, Architect Series), and all other materials, including stone, copper and cedar trim have a natural finish. The only actual paint color is the white trim on the existing farmhouse. Hope that helps!

German-style Bank Barn Conversion
salvages a historic German-style bank barn that fell into serious decay and readapts it into a private family entertainment space. The barn had to be straightened, stabilized, and moved to a new location off the road as required by local zoning. Design plans maintain the integrity of the bank barn and
details juxtapose modern amenities including two bedrooms, two loft-style dayrooms, a large kitchen for entertaining, dining room, and family room with stone fireplace. Finishes are exposed throughout. A highlight is a two-level porch: one covered, one screened. The backside of the barn provides privacy and

Mine Road Farm - Exterior
Hi.. What is the stone used on this? It is beautiful. Thanks.
What is paint color used with stone?
This early 19th century bank barn is part of the overall renovation of the property which includes four historic structures: a large bank barn, a carriage house, spring house, and main house (original portion dates to c. 1720). It is difficult to put a price on a single piece of the overall renovation
When restoring this barn we uncovered the date stone indicating the barn dates back to c.1820. The stone is a Pennsylvania field stone likely from the Chester County region. It was restored and repointed.

Stone Residence 1
A traditional house that meanders around courtyards built as though it where built in stages over time. Well proportioned and timeless. Presenting its modest humble face this large home is filled with surprises as it demands that you take your time to experience it.
what stone is this? Can I contact the quarry?
We are building a house in Franklin, TN and was wondering which local stone company supplied the exterior stone? The house is beautiful!
You did a great job selecting the materials for this house. We use the same stone fairly extensively. What brick color and manufacturer was used on the exterior.
What kind of rock is on the exterior of the house? love it!
I realize you can't give out the house plans for this house but can you show something similar? I love the front and back of this house and I could have a different plan for the inside. Thanks

Exterior View of Restored Farmhouse
I am restoring a 200 yr old stone farmhouse in NW PA and it is now time to choose a color for the wooden siding on a shed dormer. The color we choose will also be used for a new kitchen addition to be added soon. This farmhouse in the photo

A note on historic homes. If your home is listed on the historic register, that's a whole different ballgame. Most historic districts have strict requirements about making any sort of changes to the exterior of a historic home, including changes to doors, windows, roof
