French Country Estate New Construction
What backing was used behind the stones, if any?
Our dry-laid natural stone retaining wall is being "reorganized". The mesh fabric backing the stones needs to be replaced. Can you advise a backing material? Thank you in advance for your response
start by pouring a concrete footing. We then begin stacking the stone, as the wall rises we pour a solid concrete wall behind the stack stone reinforced with re-bar, grouting back of stones into new concrete wall. This will lock the stones into place and at the same time achieve the dry stack look. Hope

Benefits of dry-laid stone retaining walls:They resist fire, water and insects. They can be recycled due to the dry-laid method. They provide natural drainage without any damage to the structure, unlike mortared walls, which tend to crack and break into sections.Note: You may not want to use the dry-laid

Where can you buy those squares stones? and how much?
I assume it's just mulch around the stones, correct? thanks
Yes, you are correct. That is shredded brown hardwood mulch in between the stepping stones. Thank you for your question!
They are roccia blue stone tiles at 16"x16", and are probably around $30/ea.

A curved wood wall across from a curved stone wall is simply brilliant.
Still in the horseshoe house, we can see how the circulation gently follows the curve. I like how different materials are used for either side: Rough stone delineates the inside curve, while bands of wood sit opposite. The

Could you tell me what type of stone or faux stone you used to accent this fireplace/wall? Who makes it? Does it come in any other colors?
