Love the idea of the lamps behind the couch and not on
nuts. From a design perspective, canned lighting should never be your sole source of light. I've been in one too many homes that look like a landing strip or gaming arcade because they've had the entire ceiling done in canned lights. It becomes a missed design opportunity.

interested in the 'tree' floor lamp - where is it from?
The floor lamp was created by a young French artist from the south of France. It is made from all recycled or reusable materials. The arm of the lamp is branch from an apple tree.
The table in the photo is actually a dining table from The Conran Shop. We cut the legs down to make it a coffee table.
