window is on a much larger scale than the table and the surrounding objects.
The window to the table shows that the table is occupying a large space by itself. Not in scale to each other, the window and walls can be over powering.
This dining area plays with scale dramatically. The table, chairs, rug, and floral arrangement are dwarfed by the enormous painting, large lighting fixture, and
room feels empty because it is so large and there is only a table in it.
The furniture in this room is not properly scaled because the room is so tall and big, but there is not a lot of the furniture. The furniture is also very small.
