Columbia, the mineral content in our water would stain the rough surface of ledgestone in a few months' time.
Advantages: Ledgestone has great texture, and works well in a variety of styles. Most bathrooms with ledgestone use it on a single feature wall, although occasionally it's installed throughout
second tile choice as a feature is a great look I see more and more these days.Be careful about using small ledgestone tile, unless you know your water does not leave staining on your tile. Ledgestone achieves the stacked-rock look — like on this shower wall — with the rough face of the stone facing out
throughout the space. Many homeowners choose to add downlighting and wash these walls with light to highlight the texture and shadows that the ledgestone creates.

Virginia Ledgestone Fireplace - Coronado Ledgestone
Virginia Ledgestone creates a dramatically rugged look that works well in traditional or old world environments. The defining feature of this stone is its ledgestone stick outs. This stunning fireplace was created using Coronado Stone’s Virginia Ledgestone – Color: Cape Cod Grey.
Coronado Ledgestone - Virginia Ledgeston / Color: Cape
Hello Ebaca, the stone is Coronado Virginia Ledge / Color: Cape Cod Grey - http://www.houzz.com/photos/834883/Coronado-Ledgestone---Virginia-Ledgeston---Color--Cape-Cod-Grey-traditional-accessories-and-decor-los-angeles
Ledgestone and mantle. I would add bookshelves that go all the way up.
1) The stone (ledgestone? I like the "flat" look), the light wall color, the wood accents and floor. And the bookshelf.

Sustainability: Since most pieces of ledgestone are made of waste from production sites, it can be an ecofriendly choice. However, keep in mind that any stone not locally sourced or sourced from a site with poor credibility will lose its sustainable value.

Lighting and ledgestone as feature wall.
Disadvantages: Since it's made of natural stone, most ledgestone is very heavy and can damage finished pieces (mirrors, sinks, fixtures) in your bathroom during installation. Butting up ledgestone against a mirror is risky, since there's no easy fix if the mirror is damaged.

It is Boral (formerly Owens Corning) Cultured Stone, in the Country Ledgestone shape. I think it's either the Chardonnay, Caramel or Aspen color. Frankly, I don't remember, and the color of the light in the room is making it difficult to tell. As always, I'd suggest you take a look at actual samples
mortared into the veneer wall. The angled corbels do most of the work, transferring the weight of the shelf to the wall. The 2" +/- thick Country Ledgestone has enough depth to bed everything securely. If we do anything heavier, or cantilever it (no brackets or corbels), then we have to do something
This is Cultured Stone's "Country Ledgestone" ( http://www.boralna.com/productcatalogue/product.aspx?product=2662 ), but this project was a while back and I'm not positive about the color.

Hi, I love your fireplace. I was thinking of using the same Southern & Country Ledgestone color White Oak. I like that you mixed the 2 different ledgestones. What ratio was it? Also, what did you use for the top of the bench. That must have been natural stone instead of
Boral. We combined the shapes called Southern Ledgestone & Country Ledgestone in the color White Oak. The country ledgestone is the one w/ the more rectangular flat face & we added them for visual interest accent to break up the other southern ledgestone. Hope that helps.
