The type of wood used does vary. We at WineRacks.com use pine, mahogany, oak and lyptus. We highly recommend mahogany for wood wine racks as it is decay and moisture resistant. Cannawine, if you're looking for assistance with a wine cellar than we'd love to be of service. We offer free custom design:
end wall is open, makes the room longer. brick floor, led light behind molding

Very nice design......please tell me about the floor - wood, stain, finish. Thank you!
What type of flooring is this? What kind of wood? Was a subfloor used?
What is the name of the wood floor and where to purchase it?
A site finished White Oak floor in Rift & Quarter sawn with a custom stain. Likely a mix of Jacobean or Dark Walnut 2716. Hope that helps :-)
I don't but I would call it a Walnut stain. Your flooring person should be able to mix something up and put it on a sample board for you before you proceed
contractors. Houzzers (including me!) have asked since early 2013. The architect may not been part of the floor finish final decisions…That may be why we don't have that info.
It looks like an Oak floor with a darker jacobean style stain. Likely custom made for the client on site.
