Hi Sarah! We always install tile backsplashes in our kitchens. When we have someone who installs a chimney hood or a hood with shape to it, I have a conversation with the client about the aesthetic advantages. We often price it as an option so the client can make

How height is the hood from the stove
The height of the hood always depends on the manufacturers specifications. Both the type of hood and the size of the range affect the placement. This particular hood is 36 inches above the range. Our client requested it be mounted a bit higher so he wouldn't bump into it while cooking.
This range hood is a KitchenAid and the model number is KXW23300Y. If you would like you can see our other kitchen designs on our website, thestratfordcompanies.com
