An ocean view on the coast with boulders as patio seating. The rocks encircle an outdoor fire pit, and are on flagstone pavers
What was the design idea behind placing the boulder seats in such a way that people would have to sit either with their backs to the ocean or to the firepit?
I think it's also because it is trying to flow with its surrounding. Boulders become part of the water.

Wouldn't this be interesting in one of the fields or near Tom's moss lawns.

Did you use mortar to hold big rock in place. This is so beautiful!!!
No mortar was used for this wall. Just heavy boulder with back fill and drainage behind the wall.
The multiple levels for a steep bank and also how the steps tie into the rock retaining walls
Way too much rock for me. Lower wall too high and too much terracing.
