I have standard red oak floors that haven't been refinished in years. I'd prefer not to stain them darker, so I'm trying to figure out how to finish them naturally without yellowing over time/or what stain to use to get away from the honey colored oak look. Thanks for your time!

suggest prefinished White Oak, wire-brushed with a two stage stain process... but I'm new at this (only 37 years). Attached a similar item... different color & finish style obviously, but same basic concept. Feel free to contact us as well, 111Seaside.
seaside, Those are oak floors that have a gray
gray finish applied. Typically this floor would be made with Red Oak. The floor in the picture looks site finished since I can not see any bevel lines in the picture. Let me know if you have any other flooring questions. joel@oakandbroad.com

Antique Oak is really beautiful. The mixed widths look great. A neat fact for the reclaim minded consumer - the oak will often contain both red and white oak unless otherwise noted. :-)
