Why can't this house be "stucco in the woods"?

Hi, What kind of wood is that? What is it treated with? I love it!
The wood is ipe and it has been treated with a water sealer that will keep it's rich brown color. The sealer does need to applied rather frequently, up to twice a year, depending on where you live. Often we do not treat the ipe and let it turn silvery gray like teak.
