Hi, did you hang the shelves before or after the stone? Looks great!
installed the stone around the shelves. Not sure what type of stone was used. I will inquire with the lovely designers at www.fluidesignstudio.com Thanks!
That stone on the wall could it be airstone? Or is it real stone? Love the look!
I thought about using stone in my house as well. The quote for materials and work was well above my budget. I'm looking into using this: www.fauxpanels.com.

Is the ledgestone natural stone or artificial stone
can I use artificial stone as the link http://www.cultural-stone.com/e_products/?big_id=1 for fireplace?
Can this stone be plastered onto the wall of an existing fireplace to get this effect or would I need to start again to get the stones to fit
fireplace myself. Wondering how to cover the 6 inch or so metal border at the top and bottom of the fireplace. Challenge for me is how to have the stone tile guy finish this close to the trim and still provide access at the bottom for controls and servicing. Would appreciate if you could provide some
a very important priority for me is to have an intentionally designed quiet home. Homes that have wood floors and hard walls and lots of glass and stone are way too loud for me. How are quiet homes designed?

Is this vintage stone or is it possible to purchase it, if so where.
Is this vintage stone or is it possible to purchase it, and if so where?
The home was built in 1913 and restored recently by our firm. The stone is a Mica Schist (locally also called Wissahickon Schist). While it is available, it is difficult to source. You could try contacting eastern Pennsylvania quarries. We wish you luck on your search

Where can I get this stacked stone?
The stone is quartzite. You can get it from Island Stone. They call it wall cladding, Himarchal White. I wouldn't recommend it for a regular use shower. It would be hard to keep
That is stacked stone. A little more info on how you can use this material: http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/128218/list/Stacked-Stone-Inside-the-Home
I am sorry, but I no longer have records of the specific tile, but I believe it is a natural stone. I am not sure if it is slate.
It depends upon what you mean by problematic. This stone has a rough texture. Therefore it would be difficult to keep clean if used in an area which is regularly left wet such as in an everyday use shower
I like the stacked stone and the faucet
