For the bathroom tile, the clients chose our Barcelona La Merced Quarter 6"x6" tiles to create a bright Mediterranean shower. The coordinating blue trim ties in the tiles from the bathroom into the shower. Also used in the bathroom were our Barcelona La Merced 6"x6" tiles for the entire lower half of
of this bathroom wall. Smaller La Merced 3"x3" tiles create a lovely border along the top. Coordinating blue cornice and liner tiles add a nice contrast along the edges of the decorative tiles. Our Yucatan Ceramic Field Tile collection, and its extensive molding and trim options, were used for this

Islas started off with the San Felipe pattern floor tile and picked a Spanish tile for the backsplash. A palette of terra cottas, whites and teal accents felt like a natural fit. Islas used the teal on the cabinetry, tile and window seat fabric to tie the room together. "After" photos: David Young-Wolff

what kind of tile was used for the backsplash?
with a, local, made to order tile company, design, and manufacture the tile. His vision was a bed and breakfast he stayed at in Santa Barbra. Check out a company in San Jose, California, called Fireclay tile. They will be able to make something to order, or we work with tile companies, in Italy and Mexico
The Floor is made of 4" x 8" terracotta tile, with hand-painted Mexican tiles used as accents. You can email or call our office for pricing. Thanks TDM

Do you have any tips for a tile wall behind the stove?
I thought I was replying about the tile, not the pot rack :) Kitchen Lab said 'Ikea' though, in the first reply. Regards, Ingrid
mj, if you are referring to mixing the custom printed tiles with glass or any other type of tile, YES. Our customers do it all the time
time, as it serves to set the custom tile mural section off from the surroundings.
Do you think these can be mixed with a more contemporary glass tile on a backsplash, say a white glass subway tile? Maybe with these on the bottom the way they are in the picture?
Work with your tile store to see all the options available. Use a good store--even the best ones have all ranges of price points. The tiles that are out there will knock your socks off. Choose something that's easy to keep clean, as splatters are a fact of life
