I like that the beds are hanging from the ceiling!
with a little bit of labor. Like the pink painted ceiling above. The ceiling is the perfect spot to make that special statement. So is an accent wall — like the yellow one here. It completely transforms this Maine bedroom.
If you have tall ceilings in your bedroom and lots of natural light, you can go super bold and intense with yellow. This particular shade of yellow packs a wallop, so I'd recommend limiting it to an accent wall. A room that gets this much natural light can handle a bold yellow on an entire wall, but
but be aware that if your bedroom has low ceilings and little natural light streaming in, then a yellow as bright and bold as this one could leave you feeling anxious.

earth tones. Would look nice with craftsman style. Wonder if it would be too busy for hearthroom with that slate floor, though. Maybe use for floor to ceiling dining rm fireplace (rather than tile in dining room. Just do tile in the living room fireplace),
5. Vary your lighting. Instead of flooding the whole bedroom with one bright ceiling light use individual lamps and candles in different areas of the bedroom to achieve a more dramatic, cozy and intimate mood.
the interaction between this playful shade and the brown tones in the bed and the natural wood ceiling, as well as the stone fireplace. Neutral walls would have been crisp and clean, but the cool tone of periwinkle adds instant sophistication.
