Can you tell me what type of GE electric oven and cooktop this is? I know there are different types of GE models. Also, are counters shown here standard height? We are trying to install double under counter ovens with gas cooktop and are having a difficult time finding what we are

I read somewhere that a cooktop hood should sit 24" above the cooktop, yet everywhere I look, the hoods seem to be 36 inches or so above the cooktop. Is there a standard for best function of the hood or not?
Did the height of depth of the drawers under the rangetop need to be modified to fit gas/electric lines?
That makes sense. I'm going for a 36 inch wide cooktop and have read that the hood should extend 6 inches wider to either side of the cooktop, so therefore I'd need a 48" hood. They're awfully expensive, but when I find the right one I want to make
This is a 48" Wolf Range Top
It also depends on the liner that is used, the hood cfm's and the btu's the cooktop or range gives off. I always go off the hood recommendations.

Would love to know how to create or where to buy a stone floating shelf like this for over my cooktop!

hey thanks. i'd like to hear from anyone who has one of these downdraft cooktops - i was told recently that they don't work well and are not a viable option for our renovation...

Can you explain the advantages and disadvantages of electric cooktops versus gas?
or cooktop) against the wall and the sink on the side of the kitchen island (to save more workspace). Whilst having a stove placed as in the photo means the chef can look out to the rest of the group they're entertaining, I often wonder about venting, and splatter from cooking when I see cooktops positioned
I recently switched from a gas stove to electric (due to a change of apartments), and I must say, there's a learning curve. In my experience electric cooktops take longer to heat up, and temperature control is difficult. If there are any avid electric cooktop fans out there, please share why you prefer

The Range is a 60 inch Wolf. Looks to have the charbroiler and griddle.
Wondering how I can get a similar hood for a 36" cooktop. Is this made of cabinet wood or stone? Approximate price of similar hood for a 36: cooktop. LOVE IT! Manufacturer??
California, our building codes require ventilation fans above gas cooktops--although they don't require them over electric cooktops. So if you don't want to install a vent, you may want to use one of the great electric induction cooktops.
The hood is 80" wide. We started with the 48" Wolf range, then we added 11" on each side to comfortably accommodate the 9" wide corbels. Although the ceiling over the hood (limited to 112" high at this

Were there any issues cutting the backsplash for electrical outlets? ie. cracking etc. Thanks so much. Beautiful kitchen.
Is there an integrated hood inthis design? If so, what is the brand? What are you using for ventilation for the cooktop? Thank you
I love how responsive and open you are! Thank you in advance... What is the countertop thickness on island and cooktop? I love the look of the thin counters, however, my fabricator can only do the Quartzite I picked out in 3cm. What is the edge design used?
Love it! What backsplash would you use with a gas cooktop?
Actually, I'm not referring to induction but rather a regular glass ceran cooktop, which I presume emits a bit more heat than induction would.
