What wood was used on the ceiling?
Is the mantle real or faux wood?
It is a paint grade wood called poplar. We finished it with a seven step process of paint and stain.

Dining Room
what color wood floor that is and also the company that sells it?
This wood floor really makes this room look great.
Is the transition around the fireplace wood to carpet or wood to tile
Is the fireplace gas or wood? Is it a two sided model? Manufacturer?
This is a custom residence with custom-built wood detailing / columns, so it's hard to say the cost for one column. We would encourage you to contact a builder in your area to talk about the cost of custom-built columns.
Wood to carpet. The dining room connects to the formal living

If I had a large house with a large library a rich wood room would be nice
Beams on the ceiling, warm wood, cozy seating, interesting wood panels.
Common theme with rooms that have dark wood. area rug that is very patterned and turkish looking. furniture is solid in color and plane, doesn't take away from the wood work. the other details in room are intricate but not distracting or takes away to wood, it merely adds to it.
Wood paneling: Warm wood walls are iconic. It doesn't matter whether they're original Old-World panels or '70s remakes — I think they're fabulous either way. This
