We have awful deer too. You can do this on the cheap by finding livestock fencing. It comes in all varieties of shapes and sizes. Then frame the panels with whatever lumber you'd like and mount on posts!”

“It's a very simple detail. 4x4 posts were "notched" to allow the top and bottom rails to sit flush against the face of each post. We then ran the mesh in front of this and it was nailed to the wood... Then we attached fascia boards over the mesh to "sandwich" it and secure”
