Can you tell me more about the backsplash?
I'm writing about wide plank hardwood floors and would love to include your photo. I'm happy to give you credit and link back here (or to another site if you'd prefer)
I love this type of farmhouse porcelain sink. My husband is concerned about wear and tear on such a style of sink and wants a stainless. Has anyone had one long term? Pros? cons? Thank you in advance for your time!
This pictures is almost famous. :-) Crisp Architects gets tons of questions about it :-)
the kitchen area where the counter stops? Also does the 17' dimension go to the wall behind the fridge? Would greatly appreciate the answers as are about to build a new house. Is the nicest kitchen on Houzz!

Atherton Residence Pool and Patio
the arbor structure and pool. There were additional patios, an outdoor kitchen and about 3/4 acre of planting and irrigation. I estimate that the arbor and pool took about 2.5 months and the entire project about 4.
This pool was built about 9 years ago and cost about $85,000 for just the pool, spa and pool cover, not including the brick patio, arbor and surrounding improvements. Many factors can influence the cost of a pool, such as ease of access for large digging equipment, availability of sufficient gas and

Quiet Casual Home: View from Kitchen to Dining Room
Ever thought about having two islands? This kitchen has them! Learn more about how better design makes your home a more fulfilling place to live on our blogs at www.rtastudio.blogspot.com and www.architectinheels.com
All qualities I hope to emulate in our new home. We have a similar size width between our dining/family room spaces - 19.5'. I've been concerned about the proportions of the shelves and opening/walkway. Might you share how wide these areas are? (are they divided into 3rds?, 6' shelf, 6' opening, 6'
Love the kitchen living area. can i get the floorplan ....curious about dimensions. hard to tell from pic. thx
You are better off contacting a local architect, explaining to them what about this house you like and what else you want in your new home, and let them design something specifically for you.

Im in the beginning process of building a farmhouse and was going to have it out of the ground about 4 feet. Could you possibly tell me how much the porch is off the ground. Thanks
Would like to visit with the owner about the house. How can I get in touch with them? Thanks, Hank
the porch floor is about 2'-2" above grade. On the left corner, the porch floor is about 5'-6" above grade. Thanks for your interest!
The round columns on this home are 8" at the top and 10" at the bottom. Thanks for your interest!
Could you please tell me if the columns are round or square
Did you have a specific question about this home? Thank you for your interest in our work!

I saw the question about crime but what about controlling the number of insects and reptiles that may fly or crawl into your home when the walls are opened like this?
Thanks for your question. Yes, this house is in Kahana, West Maui. The doors are Fleetwood, and retract into the stone columns. It is an oceanfront property and very private. Crime is always an issue, but it is very secure when closed. We have another house we did very close to this one. You can see

Classic Informality
I am finishing my vanity that is 65" wide and would like to put two sconces and cabinet columns on either side of mirror that are a ft.( or less) wide. Not sure if this will look too crowded.
You have been unusually nice about answering so many questions. I have two that haven't been asked yet. It looks like you combined two cabinet styles with the drawers and cabinet doors
sheet of details necessary to show how each surface came together so that lines ran around the room at the same height, and each panel fit between the columns or pilasters.
the mirrors are about 20" x 36" and they were custom made from a glass shop.
If you click on the photo, you can then hover over tags to get more specific information about the finishes.
