Hi, Thanks for your question about our Mazama Guest
Thus, the west afternoon sun does melt some of the snow on the roof. If you are building in an area that has 10-ft. of snow, I would be a bit nervous about a north-facing roof. By the way, make sure you over-insulate the roof (R-50 or more) and have a 2" air space above the insulation so that the interior

wanted to say how grateful I am that you've taken so much time to answer inquiries about this kitchen. The design and execution are just phenomenal, and you've been so generous with your time. I am working on a a very similar kitchen/hearth room design with my architect and am concerned about the dimensions of these two rooms. It would be extremely helpful to me if you could share the size of these two rooms. Thanks.
The great room measures about 14' by 24', and the kitchen measures also about 12' by 24'. Because the area is so open, the great room and kitchen area together (without the breakfast nook which is off to the side), is about 26' by 24'. Hope this helps!

In fact to comment like that is ""ill-bred", uncultured and definitely bad mannered. Constructive comments are about why something doesn't look as well as it could
