Hi, Sorry for the delay in responding. I suspect you could cut your hydrangeas back harshly, but the first year you won't have many flowers. The other solution would be to transplant them somewhere else, where the size wouldn't be a problem. I transplanted many of mine and they are doing fine. Again

You can modify the color of hydrangea flower heads (which are actually bracts) by changing the pH of the soil. For blue flowers, you'll want to achieve a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. For pink flowers, you want a pH of 7.0 to 7.5. Use an inexpensive soil pH test kit from the

What is the name of the orange flowers ?
The orange flowers are Arctotis 'Flame', a hybrid of the African Daisy. it is a great plant, gray green leaves, low growing and blooming early spring thru later summer, especially if dead headed a few times during it's bloom period.
