Some friends have told us that they are beautiful. Many think they are strange. For us, we embrace these eclectic plant holders and always talk about it when we are in the courtyard, eating dinner and sipping a glass of wine. We know very little about the artist and
pottery reminds them of "Medusa". Situated by our front entry door, you can bet that this has been talked about! Every season, I try to find "annual plants" that can blossom and look like "hair".

I like the round patio and the way the trees and plants are planted behind it
i love the color! Can we plant trees that change color? Japanese maple, maybe?

the potential for soil compaction that can occur if you try to do it during the wet months of early spring. Come springtime the soil will be ready to plant. • Amendments must be mixed well into the soil — spade or rototill to a depth of 6 to 8 inches. • Composts and aged manures work best for sandy soils;
Enjoy puttering. Pull weeds and spent annuals, plant bulbs and harvest herbs and cool-season veggies for hearty meals. Most of all, spend time with family and friends surrounded by nature's October

The main access brings one up granite steps to a rustic gravel path flanked by seasonal plantings in beds as well as in containers. A garden statue responds to the symmetry and formality of the pergola and draws one into the space.

PRO Maria Hickey & Associates Landscapes There are over 75 different varieties of plants.....list too long but here's a quick overview: Phlox p
s (Tecoma stans) and autumn sage (Salvia gregii). Planting perennials in the fall gives them the cooler months to establish deep, healthy roots, so your spring growth will be much larger and robust.
