obviously know what you are doing! What is your thought on thickness of the granite and limestone surrounding the pool if one is in a region that freezes several months out of the year? Thank you very much!!
How thick and long is the granite coping?
What material is the grey stone that makes the steps that go into the pool?
Hello, can you please tell me what the stone decking is around the pool? Thanks
Can you PLEASE share with me the type and color of material used for the coping and on the spa decking? Is that a water wall behind the spa? Am beginning a pool/spa renovation next Monday and would love to know. PLEASE?
Contractor the information but he cautions me that since summer time temperatures in our area CAN sometimes reach triple digits that the dark granite coping could become very hot. Almost don't care! Would consider sacrificing the heat for the look! Your thoughts? Thank you for your counsel.

What was used for the coping around the pool including size/color.
What is the thickness of your coping?
What are the stepping stones made out of?
We used the same concrete as the coping so it would match. Once you enter the planter bed section in the front, we used river rock to fill the gaps.
The coping is 4' wide and 4" thick.

Is that pebble tech. Also any thoughts on granite vs limestone or coping
Any extra prep needed to shell if no sod is laid up to coping?
Could you also tell me the thickness of the coping used here (I think its limestone?) I like the straight edge profile, but maybe that only looks so good here because the coping is so thick? My contractor spec'd 2.25" bullnose Indiana Limestone.
It can it thinner than this pool coping. However, keep in mind that dirt, grass, fertilizers, etc will get into the pool as pool walk to and from pool. Things like fertilizer can stain a pool quite badly so extra caution is always wise. Thinning our the pool coping is a good idea but also consider
Thank you for your inquiry. The pool has a custom blend of color quart plaster with granite coping on the edges. We think limestone is spectacular but, unfortunately, it doesn't wear well in frost conditions which we do get here in British Columbia

Love the look, pool installing now. Does any sealing, prepping of pool shell wall need to be done when not using decking butting up to coping? Thanks for any info.
pool coping above. I can't tell you how many times I have see the pool coping crack, because there wasn't enough support below. Meaning in this application, if the ground settled under the stone, it could crack if the bond bean wasn't wide enough. A pool shell should typically be 10"-12" thick to protect
to freeze thaw with greater thicknesses, but we have found that when you use this stone in thinner and smaller pieces it can break from crystallization. The stone wicks the salts from base stones and or concrete underneath and the crystals are sometimes denser that the stone itself (and can fracture).

I love the thickness of the coping, as well as the size of the expansion joints. Can you tell me how thick the coping is as well as how wide and deep? It looks to be about 4"x14"x36"? It's very contemporary
3.5" thick 15" wide and 2.5' joints. But it relates to the 5' OC decorative deck joints. Keep that in mind when laying out your design.
