Love the 3 piece art above the fireplace. Can you tell me where to find them?
says. "People are more open to having fun with mixing eras and styles rather than being rigid. I also have more clients willing to use vintage pieces and, more importantly, willing to wait for the time necessary to find the perfect piece."

cabinets/countertops below with with TV and/or hanging art above
flooring with white and color pallet. what do you think? Fireplace and art display
I like that the tv isn't above this like is so typical. You could put consoles on each side - one with a tv (left) and the other with an art piece to balance. The lit niche is unexpected.
Low built-in cabinets partially fill the alcoves in this modern space, leaving plenty of room above for showcasing art.

Love the art over the fireplace
I know the colors may be too intense for you, but wanted you to see how picking up the colors of a great piece of art (1 large, dramatic piece over the sofa) "sets the stage"
Love the colour of the drapes pulled from the art, echoed in the wing chairs but neutral sofa

Either way - it looks great and emphasizes how this simple, quiet, design can fit into so many vernaculars. It has Shaker roots, but finds a happy (art deco) home here. Full disclosure :-) we sell both S&R and molded versions of this design. http://www.houzz.com/projects/330582/Madison---An-Interio
what make the room restful, so you wouldn't want to interrupt them. That's also what makes it a tricky paint job, because the lines need to be level––and meet up as they wrap from one end to the other––but in old buildings, the floor and ceiling are rarely level. So it's a delicate matter of finagling
gentle version of Art Deco - wooden chest
Donohue of 1 2 1 Studio tells it like it is. "I admit that I stole the idea outright. I had the steel bed and rug already, and when I moved into a very art deco building I was thinking I'd do gray walls but wanted a little something extra. Just in time I saw a room Thom Filicia had designed for a show house
