Probably the closest picture I've seen to our real kitchen. HATE that tile. Cabinets are better than ours, though. I think I'd prefer if the cork had less pattern.

If the fridge is just a regular or counter top, the wood cabinetry around it makes it feel like a built in. Looks great.
I'm not certain about what specifically was used here, but often I've seen rope lighting used above cabinets, and LED lights as well. For under cabinet lighting I like to use xenon task lights with lenses to diffuse the light

I'm liking the idea of small, irregular poured slabs on a walkway, with tiny stones pressed in, when wet...then short ground cover plantings between them...something like thyme, that would smell good when stepped on.
The first time I drove through central Virginia, I noticed all of these amazing rolls of hay dotting the hills. Up to this point, I'd only seen rectangular bales of hay, and I was entranced. Something about the placement of these spheres in the landscape reminds me of the feeling I had the first time
