If your backyard is large and you like the greenery of grass, then you might want to consider a faux grass product. The faux grass products look so real now and are no maintenance at all. However, they can be expensive to install. But if you think of it as a one time investment

underneath the fire pit that will collect water and slowly disperse it back into the soil. We also recommend keeping the fire pit covered unless it's in use. entire fire pit is about 6' in diameter. The part with the glass stones is about 3 1/2 ' x 2 1/2'
I really like this. To me most fire pots look like a well when not lit. This really has. More natural look to it.
