Here's another view of the same type of separation. Although it's not a true ha-ha, the raised patio area with its supporting wall gently separates the spaces and provides a sitting area that lets guests take in the garden view. From this angle, it also provides a nice

Wow I love the lifted ranch type balcony.
Supported by exposed steel columns and beams, this cantilevered second story is raised quite high due to the generous height of the living space. An outdoor terrace sits under the projection, capped by a very nice wood ceiling. The second story's exterior walkways in metal grating allow people upstairs

I would imagine that the structure is cantilevered with steel or reinforced concrete or a combination of both to obtain the amount if support required for the space above.
How in the world is that supported?

i recently made a selection between nanawall/solarlux and sunflex and chose sunflex, although in my opinion, nanawall support is much better than that of sunflex. so i am interested in reading about the thought process by which a professional chooses between nanawall and sunflex
more overhead in the Nanawall distribution structure than is the case for Sunflex. of course that overhead includes what is, in my opinion, a better support structure. but while Sunflex can't match the scope of the Nanawall network, from my own experience, i have a pretty high opinion of Marco Bickenbach

is a concrete molded poured cast and weighs in at about 70 to 80 lbs a tile (2x2). So that comes to about 20lbs a quare ft. Make sure your roof can support such a bulky paver. For pricing this paver is one of the most inexpensive on the market. a little over $4.00 a square ft, thats very cheep.... but
When considering mounting a paver there are many ways to do this. If you are using the paver as a ballast paver.....Then nothing will be required for support. but if you are looking to put these on a pedestal system ....,well then you will have many options and once again will have to consider that price
