I like the outdoor curtains and the flower box idea.
Plants, air, natural fibers and iron
This slim balcony draws from all across the map: a Balinese-influenced chair, a pair of Asian elephants, a cheerful rug that calls to mind a serape, with a tangle of foliage curling in to give the setting a lushly verdant feel. Spin the globe: With a few different furnishings and plantings, this al fresco
space — garden, patio, balcony, what have you — it's time to start using it. This balcony is a great example of how you really don't need much outdoor space to take advantage of summer's fresh air and sunshine. Start With What You PlantObviously, the first thing you can do to attract butterflies is to plant flowering plants
climates have it even better; many of these plants will continue blooming into winter. Some of the plants listed below bloom only in fall. Others may begin their bloom season earlier in the year. And some of the annuals that are normally considered spring flowers will flourish in the cooler fall weather

Beautiful Small Interior Balcony To Keep the Plants

WHAT are those magnificent burgundy flower things in the lower left??
Material used on 2nd balcony floor/1st flr porch roof stave off water
We built a house 9 years ago with an uncovered 2nd story balcony that is 6 by 20. We used a tongue/groove
provide a dry roof for the porch area beneath. It leaked horribly and the company (decking material) went out of business. We need to tear out the balcony and build it back in a way that will not leak to the ground floor porch below. Can you provide some general guidance on this? Thanks greatly
i like the raillings with the furniture and plants
