Backsplash ideas~~~ When you cut your bamboo blinds to proper length, you have left over. You can make a unique backsplash with an Asian Feel.
Does this really work as a backsplash? Doesn't it get a little wet and get messed up?
Thank you, and I attached it to the wall with regular tile adhesive, and yes it is really left over blinds, LOL. Seemed wasteful to just throw pretty bamboo out. I let the tile adhesive dry for 2 days, then I used dark walnut stain that already has polyurethane in it and darkened it a little. Then let that

What brand and color tile backsplash? Love it!!!
The backsplash is Walker Zanger's Skyline in a discontinued color called Bottle Glass. You can view the collection and the colors it is available in here: http://walkerzanger.com/collections/products.php?view=mat&mat=Glass&coll=Skyline
You could hang a triptych of kiln-fired art tile right over the backsplash - in complimentary colors. As your desires change or the seasons change you can change out the art. The art tiles are easy to clean after grease

Impressed with that Bamboo. It's the least bamboo-looking bamboo I've seen.
For DLB Custom Homes--Where did you get your bamboo? Was it prefinished? How is it wearing? Also, with the short lengths of boards generally available in bamboo, do you find it to be stripey looking?

Not all bamboo flooring is the same, however; be sure to look for moso bamboo, as it's considered the hardest and most durable. Material cost: $5 to $12 per square foot

BambooNot technically wood — it's actually a grass — bamboo has many of the same advantages and disadvantages as wood. It's a good option if you are looking to use a sustainably harvested material for your kitchen floor. Not all bamboo flooring is the same, however; be sure to look for moso bamboo, as
