What's the width of the casing trim and also the baseboard width?
my ceiling is pretty low (7.5 ft - and seems like the ceiling in the picutre is also about the same height) but i love the wide baseboard look. so i'm trying to figure out what's the widest i can go with out over powering the rest of the room
Wide, simple baseboard and door casement
2. Skinny trim. Please don't settle for 3-inch baseboards and 2¼-inch casings. Trim has so much to offer and can really make a room special. Solution (shown): Think about different profiles and go for the larger sizes. Doing so will add a richness to your rooms that you didn't think was possible

White trim and baseboards with wood floor. White baseboard makes wood floor stand out versus stained baseboard

With natural wood. If you have nice wood elements, keep them natural, but set them off with white painted wood trim. If the baseboard trim and door casings here were natural wood, none of the elements would really stand out, especially against the wood floor and the decorative joists above the door.

What did you use for the baseboards?
Do you happen to know the ceiling height? Baseboard? Crown molding?
The ceiling height is 12'-0" - I believe the baseboard is approx. 9".

?It appears as though baseboard is on the same PLANE as the sheetrock. Pretty "clean" look.

3. Wainscot. While the space between the chair rail and baseboard can be finished as the rest of the wall (painted or wallpapered), many times the area is paneled. The options for the wainscot are many, including simple wood panels, beadboard, raised panels and horizontal wood paneling. And while
while the finish of the wainscoting can match the wood trim, it doesn't have to. For example, a painted wood baseboard and wainscot of simple, recessed panels works well with the stained wood window and door trim.
